Bel Marra Health Reports on a New Study: Short Bursts of Exercise Said to Help With Self-Control

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) March 24, 2013

Bel Marra Health, who offers high-quality, specially formulated vitamins and nutritional supplements, is reporting on new research outlining how short bursts of energy help with self-control.

As Bel Marra Health reports in its article (http://www.belmarrahealth.com/weight-management/bursts-of-exercise-help-with-self-control/) a well-oxygenated brain allows optimal functioning of a wide range of physiological activities, from muscle contraction to the production of enzymes that are essential for growth and maintenance of the body. Research studies have earlier shown that diet and exercise can significantly improve ones health; it reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.

The role of proper diet and exercise applies to all age ranges, including that of the elderly. An age-specific exercise is often recommended for older adults and these consider the agility level of these individuals. Studies have also shown that elderly individuals have better brain health when they follow a healthy diet and exercise regimen. Brain health disorders among the elderly include dementia, which is characterized by a loss of memory and other brain processing functions. Alzheimers disease is a brain condition that also presents with memory loss.

As the Bel Marra Health article reads, various health outcomes have been associated with exercise. Is self-control also linked to physical activities? According to a recent medical report published in the journal BMC Geriatrics, regular exercise may also help in promoting self-control in the elderly. The proponents of the study explained that following a regimen that include proper diet and exercise promotes good brain health by stimulating the main control center of the body to perform at its normal expected capacity.

The research study involved approximately 250 adults within the age range of 55 to 80 years old. These study participants were enrolled in an 18-month long program that monitored changes in various physical and mental characteristics of the subjects. Physical characteristics included weight, body mass index, and other health-related conditions, whereas mental symptoms included cognition, self-control, and self-esteem.

Assessment of mental symptoms was conducted by using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment scoring system, which consisted of 24 indicators of cognition and self-control. The study population was divided into two groups: one was subjected to an age-specific exercise program, whereas the other followed a minimal to negligible level of physical activity.

The results of the study showed that the group subjected to an exercise program were associated with improved physical and mental conditions over a monitoring period of 18 months. In terms of self-control, the study participants showed stable conditions that involved minimal emotional outbursts. The researchers also highlighted the observation of self-control among the members of the exercise group, in which these individuals were aware of the proper ways of maintaining their health, especially after receiving non-formal discussions on health for the elderly.

The findings of this recent medical report serves as the first account on the association between physical activity and self-control in a specific population. Although the mechanisms behind physical activity and self-control remain elusive, the report has effectively demonstrated that exercise in the elderly may result in better cognition function, especially in terms of self-control. The proponents of the study will conduct further studies on this association to further examine the extent of improvement that may be linked to physical exercise.

hCGTreatments Announce the Findings of the New Harvard Study on Fast Weight Loss

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 28, 2012

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc Weight Loss announce the findings of a new Harvard Study on weight loss stating that low carbohydrates and low glycemic result in fast weight loss as compared to just low fat. These two elements (low carbs/glycemic) have been recently updated in the hCGTreatments medical, weight loss programs.

A new Harvard Study on weight loss and how to lose weight fast report that eliminating processed foods and limiting carbohydrate intake along with consuming low vegetables and fruits that are low on the glycemic index result in fast weight loss as compared to just limiting fat. The Harvard Study For Calories Its All About Quality Over Quantity, was published on 6/27/12 in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc Weight Loss announces that these two components were recently added into a master diet that is customized for each individual based on health history, age, lifestyle and preferences reports Julie Wright, president of Diet Doc.

When carbohydrates are restricted below a certain point, the bodies metabolism shifts into a state of ketosis where fat is now used for energy instead of carbohydrates. When in ketosis weight loss is accelerated because of the shift in metabolism, they body is literally using fat as fuel reports Dr. Rao, medical director of Diet Doc.

There are many diets to choose from, but how would someone know which is best for them, or what best diet has medical evidence to support fast weight loss? hCGTreatments offers the combination of the best diet plans from a variety of well-known diet plans, such as: Mediterranean Diet, Paleo Diet, Atkins Diet, Ayurvedic Diet along with low carbohydrates and organic, natural diets, into a powerful, doctor-supervised weight loss program capable of shaving fast weight loss off many types of individuals with varied lifestyles.

These types of lower carbohydrate and glycemic suggestions are really just about eliminating processed food and eating organic (when possible) lean cuts of beef, chicken or fish and vegetables and fruit reports Wright.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diet and Weight Loss provides a doctor-designed medical diet nationwide. The Diet Doctors took the best aspects of clinically known diets, such as the Paleo Diet, Mediterranean, Atkins Diet and Ayurvedic Diet, all of which offer a basic component that recommends dieters to consume whole, organic foods and limit calories and protein reports Wright.

hCGTreatments diet doctors incorporate these basic diet elements and custom a diet for each person based on their health history, age and gender reports Wright. Add to that unlimited weight loss doctor and nurse consultations and patients can expect to lose rapid weight reports Wright. People average 30 pounds of weight loss per month, which is kept off long term when the patients customized weight loss plan is followed reports Wright. The Diet Doctors often present life changing reasons on why people have previously failed with diets, or could not lose weight fast enough reports Wright.

Heavily processed carbohydrates – white bread, white rice and processed carbohydrates in general cause blood sugar levels to rapidly surge and then crash after a meal, in which there is a direct correlation to weight gain reports Wright. These fluctuations in blood sugar lead to insulin resistance which can then accelerate weight gain because fat cells turn into one way streets for glucose storage. Low carbohydrate diets can help reverse this and set the body up for fast weight loss.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diet and Weight Loss provide medically, supervised weight loss by offering customized, doctor-designed weight loss plans for each person based on many factors, and incorporating the best diets into a powerful, diet capable of rapid weight loss reports Wright.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diet Announces New Study Support the Link Between Obesity and Lower Brain Function

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 14, 2012

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diet Plan announces a new study supporting the link between obesity and lower brain function.

Obesity affects every part of the internal organ system, including the brain according to recent PubMed.gov reports. Obesity is a medical issue requiring the skill and knowledge of a specialty weight loss doctor reports Julie Wright, president of Diet Doc hCG Diet Plan.

Many people think that it’s just a matter of being overweight and nothing else is affected. This is far from fact. Obesity and fat cells push out normal cells or changes the bodies responses through signaling that reduces brain function, and certain organ function, including allowing various disease to settle in, such as diabetes II, hypertension, cardiac problems and much more.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diet Plan thinks of fat cells as almost cancerous in a way, reports Wright. The type of approach our weight loss doctors use is through an intensive, aggressive approach to reducing each person’s obesity by personalizing a diet plan for each person based on their age, gender, weight, health history and lifestyle + preferences reports Wright. This is how Diet Doc is able to shave off up to 1 pound per day safely reports Wright is through a comprehensive approach for each person.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc hCG Diet Plan is a medical, weight loss diet plan that offers prescription medications that are safe, with little to no side effects along with eating a healthy amount and type of diet food. The diet food includes eating such things as egg white omeletes with vegetables, weight loss shakes, unlimited (low glycemic) vegetables and limiting lean meats/chicken/fish to 60 grams of protein per day along with a specific ketogenic type diet. People report no appetite and a surge in energy.

The types of food or the overall diet plan considers the best of diets that have studies behind them that help people lose weight. These include the Paleo Diet, Gluten Free Diet, Atkins Diet, Low Carb Diet, Healthy Diet and Mediterranean Diet.

The hCGTreatments / Diet Doc Weight Loss Diet also utilizes doctor-created weight loss pills that help with the extreme weight loss that is safe and doctor supervised. The best diet pills are those that help initially reduce the appetite urge without causing side effects or feeling uncomfortable reports Wright. A diet pill claiming to be the best diet pill that does not have clinical studies to support it’s use or a diet plan to go along with it, might not work as intended reports Wright.

Extreme weight loss happens when the body is not starved, but reverts back to natural, organic foods eaten throughout the day and limiting calories to what is relevant for your age, gender and height reports Wright. Fast weight loss does not have to be unsafe, it just needs to happen under the care of a doctor who has specialized weight loss training reports Wright.

Each person receives a weight loss diet plan from the Diet Doctors based on that person as an individual reports Wright. This causes the body to release weight or helps to cause extreme weight loss when following a specific weight loss plan reports Wright.

hCGTreatments / Diet Doc offers medical, weight loss plans nationwide.

DoctorsHealthPress.com Reports on New Study that Reveals the Best Ways to Shed Pounds

Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 19, 2012

The Doctors Health Press, a publisher of various natural health newsletters, books and reports, including the popular online Doctors Health Press e-Bulletin, is reporting on a new major study out of Boston that has identified which obese dieters are succeeding the most.

As reported in Doctors Health Press e-Bulletin on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 (http://www.doctorshealthpress.com/weight-loss-articles/new-study-reveals-the-best-ways-to-shed-pounds), researchers have found a substantial number of obese participants did successfully shed pounds when they stuck to three specific weight loss goals.

The Doctors Health Press e-Bulletin article reports that in a nationally representative sample of obese dieters found that people were more likely to lose weight if they:

Ate less fat

Exercised more

Used prescription medications

What did not contribute to success were fad diets, diet pills and diet foods.

The data are culled from the 2001-2006 National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey, which collects demographic, health, and health behavior information from U.S. adults. From a sample of more than 4,000 obese adults with a body mass index of 30 or higher, 63% had tried to shed pounds in the previous year. Of these people, 40% lost five percent of their weight or more, while 20% lost 10% or more.

People were more likely to drop at least five percent of body weight if they reported eating less fat, exercising more, and using medications. Those who lost at least 10% were also more likely to have joined a weight loss program. While a 10% drop is best for improving health in an obese individual, a modest weight loss of five percent can lead to health benefits.

Liquid diets, non-prescription diet pills, and popular diets showed no association with successful weight loss. Those who lost more than 10% of body weight were less likely to report eating diet foods and products, compared to those who lost less.

This suggests that the structure of being in a program may be quite important for success. As well, it is possible that some dieters may be overeating diet products because they believe they are healthy, or low in calories.

The Doctors Health Press e-Bulletin article also reports that while they did find that medications intended to shed pounds were related to success, only a small number of study participants used them.
